Travel Experiences

Everyone travels at some point in their lives. We are trying to create an open forum so that everyone can share their good and bad experiences with us. We want to know who everyone uses to book all of their travel arrangements. We would like to think of this as a way for people to hear about travel experiences from people like themselves. I love traveling, but there are many places that I do not know about and with this, we may be able to teach each other a little something new!

Once again, sorry about the delay. With the holidays upon us we've been busy.

As we live in South Florida, a lot of traveling is coming this way. But I'm always surprised by the number of people who live here that go up North for the holidays (today it is cold, mid 60's, the rest of the week in the low 70's). On of my neighbors leaves in the middle of November, and does not come back until after the first of the year. I can understand "dreaming of a White Christmas", but what do you do the rest of the time it's too cold to go outside. Let me know

Keeping on the topic of pets.

A lot of people won't go anywhere without taking their pet with them. When I travel, we leave the dog at the vet (he boards them) and the cats stay home, and we get someone to come over to clean the litter box and feed them.

I looked up "pet travel" and was surprised to find as much info as I did. My favorite site was the one about pet friendly hotels, PetTravel.com. It covered not only the places that let you bring your pet with you, but all the equipment you need to travel with your pet.

Probably the most important part was the airline rules. And this website not only gave you general information, but also let you pick the airline you are traveling on and get all their specific information as well.

So, no surprise, if you are traveling with your pet, the internet has all the information you need to travel safely with your pet.

My wife and I just came back from the vet where we had to put our cat to sleep. A few weeks ago we lost another cat to a heart attack. It's been a hard month. Both of them have been with us for a long time. I know this doesn't have anything to do with travel, but it's been on my mind all day, and I thought I would write about it. It's hard losing a pet. They're always there for you, and then there's this hole in your life. I know some people say cats are not as good a pet as a dog (we have one of those too), but let's face it they become part of your family, and it's just hard to lose them.

Thanks

Travel Tip 3

Sometimes when everything else fails, you have to resort to music or movies. Let's face it good quality family time is great, but there comes a point, when on a long trip, you have had enough, and just want a few minutes to yourself. This is when a mp3 player comes in handy, and now there are sites where you can get "legal" downloads for your players. The following is the link to the one I use. It's cheap, fast and good.

Download Free Music Now! Get your own MP3's, movies & more. Unlimited downloads, only $1 a month. More info - Click Here!

As always if you have a tip you want to share please email it to me. Thanks

Taking a break from tips today.

My friend is back from Las Vegas. I told you he decided to skip Thanksgiving this year, and take a vacation. He had a great time. For my money Vegas is at the top of my list for vacation destinations. And according to my friend, the city filled up the day before Thanksgiving. He got there the Sunday before, and said it was great, they didn't have to wait to eat, and had no trouble going anywhere. After Wednesday, everything was packed, but Vegas is made for crowds. He did mention he had a get to the front of the line pass from his hotel, which saved him some time, but he only had to use it once.

When asked if he would skip a holiday again, he said he's ready
